Why predicting our future oil supply is controversial and involves some uncertainty?

1 Answer

Answer :

Because - the processes that created the oilfields are no longeractive. This means that any oil 'reserves' will eventuallydisappear - forcing us to find alternative fuel sources. It tookmillions of years for the Earth to produce its oil deposits - yetit's taken less than 300 years for the human race to bleed it dry!
