Differentiate between open traverse and closed traverse on any two points

1 Answer

Answer :

Differentiation between Open Traverse and Closed Traverse

Closed Traverse
Open Traverse
When a traverse forms a closed polygon it is called as “Closed Traverse”
When a traverse does not form a closed polygon it is called as “ Open Traverse”
It is a series of line which begins and ends a same point.
It is the series of lines which extends in same direction but not return to starting point.
It is suitable for locating boundaries like ponds forest etc.
It is suitable for long narrow strip of ground like river , valley , road etc.
In closed traverse sum of included angles = (2n – 4) x 90 OR Sum of exterior angles = (2n + 4) x 90
There is no such check
