Interview questions:
Answer tips/answer samples:
The best answer is to tell “it depends on certain situations”, but after that, you should debate some situations with the interviewer which are based on your practical experience. Following are some sample answers to this question:
• Well, one of my employer in the past had such difficult personality. He didn’t like other questioning him or his authority. He requested everyone under his command to stay late at work and doing more than their jobs required. However, he himself didn’t learn the procedures and rarely knew to do a specific operation. That was the reason why he was easy to get angry when we asked him one or two things. But as he was the boss, I did everything he asked. I just told him “okay” and accepted to stay late at work, to do more than I was supposed to do. That saved me the stress of being yelled by him.
• I got on quite well with my previous boss. She was a very flexible and open-minded person. She assigned me a task, and I told her that if we did it the other way, it should save a lot of effort, and she agreed immediately and told me “Just try it!”
• Normally, I would not question the procedures or tasks assigned to me or the employers themselves. Instead they encourage and tell me to, or they know to acknowledge their mistakes and lack of experience. Then, I will not hesitate to make suggestions to enhance the efficiency at work. Well, there is a lot of things one doesn’t know, me, too, and my boss is, too.
