I give myself a short time to feel sad, but I don’t dwell on it. Who has time for that? I don’t spend too much energy on my failures, but I always try to figure out where things went wrong. If I don’t do that, I won’t know what I need to do to succeed next time.
This isn’t someone who wastes any time feeling sorry for herself. She’s also smart enough to learn from her mistakes.
Never Say: “I never fail, so I don’t have to handle it.” Everyone has failures, so the interviewer can only assume this candidate is lying or joking. Either way, she may be able to count this interview among her failures.
