Sounds as if you need to stop making plans with him to do things that involve his getting anywhere. In fact, if he is treating you badly I would tend to stop seeing him outside of work. I don’t know why you put up with it. I wouldn’t. You say he carpools with you? What does he contribute since he doesn’t have a car? Does he at least pay for gas?
