It's simple! Whether male or female, a urine stream is never'straight'. It's more like a stream or creek with side paths whereless water follows its own path. The difference between males andfemales is the male penis helps direct the urine, and because thepenis adds at least 3" to the length of the stream, men do nottypically notice (unless watching) when their streams 'split' andfollow their own paths.
