I am very organized, I work well on a team, and I have very good communication skills. Although I haven’t worked in this particular field before, I know these skills will make me a valuable employee. This applicant doesn’t let the fact that she’s new to this field stop her from showing the interviewer why he should hire her. She has some very desirable skills for this and any field, which she makes a point of letting the interviewer know.
Never Say: “I haven’t worked in this field before, but I’m a fast learner.” This candidate makes the mistake of dwelling on her lack of experience in this particular field instead of on her strengths.
