Salam cannot be given only to non-Muslims. (Muslim , Mishkat H / 4635) And Benamaji is not a non-Muslim. So he can be greeted. It is also permissible to eat in his house. Abu Huraira (ra.) Reported: The Messenger of Allah Declares, حق المسلم على المسلم ست قيل ما هن يا رسول الله قال: إذا لقيته فسلم عليه وإذا دعاك فأجبه وإذا استنصحك فانصح له وإذا عطس فحمد الله فسمته وإذا مرض فعده وإذا مات فَاتَّبِعْهُ ' One Muslim has six rights over another Muslim. It was said , what are they, O Messenger of God ? He said , 1. When you meet him , greet him. 2. He will protect you when he invites you. 3. When he wishes you well , you wish him well . 4. When he sneezes and says Alhamdulillah , then you say Yarhamukallah. 5. When he's sick , you go see him. . And when he dies , he will attend his funeral. ' (Muslim: 56)
