It is not permissible to hang (printed or drawn) pictures of (real or imagined) animals in the room in public. Because , first of all , the angel of mercy does not enter the house where there is a picture of an animal (taken or painted) . There is a hadith - "Narrated from Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him). He said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him ) said : (Bukhari Sharif , Volume 9 , Hadith No. 5525 ) "Narrated from Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) ... Gabriel (peace be upon him ) said , We (angels) never enter. "(Bukhari Sharif , Vol. 9 , Hadith No. 5535) Comment: Since these two hadiths have a description of a dog with a picture , many people think that the picture is just a picture of an animal that is a four-legged animal ; Not covered. No. It is narrated in the hadith - "It is narrated from Hazrat Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would not leave anything in his house without a picture of any (animal)." (Bukhari Sharif , Vol. 9 , Hadith No. 5526) "Narrated Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) . She said : The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came back from the battle of Tabuk. There were many pictures of (animals). When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw it , he tore it off .... " (Bukhari Sharif , Vol. 9 , Hadith No. 5530 & 5531) "Narrated from Prophet's wife Hazrat Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) , she said that ( once) she bought a mattress with pictures. Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) (from outside) When he saw it , he stood at the door. He did not enter (inside). Volume , Hadith no . In addition , it will also apply to (a) animal-photographed-printed clothes or materials. (B) Any portraits, statues , dolls, etc., left open in the house will also fall under it . Says. (Yuga Jignasa , Fatwa Rezviya - Volume 9 , Ahkame Tasvir etc.) Note that in the above hadiths and narrations, picture means something (taken or drawn) , ( a) which has a soul and moves ; That is , all terrestrial and aquatic animals. Such as - people , animals , birds , insects, spiders , fish, etc. (b) A fictional character or portrait that is supposed to speak or move. For example: painted idols-sculptures or fictional gods and goddesses and (in the light of the present age) cartoon characters , dolls , teddy bears , animal - shaped robots , alien creatures , etc. The picture is not meant - (a) one who has a soul but cannot move ; Such as - tree-turn.
