: There is no objection on the part of any man or woman to give zakat to his poor brother , sister , uncle , aunt and all the poor relatives. Since the documents related to this are general. On the contrary, if zakat is given to them, it is the realization of charity and kinship rights. The evidence is the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “It is sadaqa to give zakat to the poor . No matter how high their lineage is (ie grandparents , great -grandparents , great-grandparents , great-grandparents, great- grandparents ).
