Walaikumussalam. The prayer should be performed by wearing modest clothes which are not religious symbols of the infidels and which make them feel comfortable to attend the ceremony and which they consider useful. It is makrooh to pray wearing clothes that people do not like to participate in standard ceremonies. In the light of this principle, the jurists say that since it is disliked to wear a half-sleeved shirt or genji in the Majlis of Buzurghanedbin or other esteemed Majlis , wearing such clothes alone or praying in congregation will be tanjihi in the khilafah sunnat or makrooh. If there is no other cloth , it will not be makrooh .
