The latest conventional wisdom that I subscribe to is that while there’s no real harm in taking a daily supplement, it’s also a waste of time and money. Yes, there are numerous vitamins that we could use more of as our meals have gotten less healthy over the years but we need realize how slowly many of these vitamins/minerals metabolize in our bodies- especially when ingested in raw, pill form. So when one takes all these pricey supplements, what you’re essentially doing is creating very expensive, fortified urine. Your best bet is to eat a healthy, balanced diet with lots of green veggies. Green vegetables (and berries) are a virtual treasure trove of everything useful to the human body in a form that can be properly absorbed by the body.
