When crossing the curb, I probably stuck in the underside of the car and during the visual inspection I noticed that the exhaust cabin is slightly frayed. On another forum, I learned that the anti-corrosion layer could break and the exhaust would start to rust. I have a month old car - Skoda Octavia mileage 1200 km. Should I be afraid of this? How long would it take for corrosion to occur in a given place? Or would the exhaust cell start to corrode? Thank you for your answers and responses.

1 Answer

Answer :

I wouldn't deal with it personally. Corrosion will sooner or later burn the exhaust and you will change it. Even if it is scratched, it will not significantly reduce the service life of the exhaust.
